Dr. Dt. Ayşegül Ural Özay, orthodontist, is a dynamic and science-devoted dentist known for her passion for creating perfect smiles for her patients. She completed her undergraduate and postgraduate education at Istanbul University Faculty of Dentistry in 2015. Subsequently, she began her doctorate program in the Department of Orthodontics at the same university, graduating in 2022.
Her doctoral thesis focused on a current and important topic: ‘In Vitro Investigation of the Effect of Changing Intraoral Temperature Values on the Mechanical Properties of Clear Aligner Material.’ She also contributed to the literature with her scientific research article titled ‘Investigation of the Mechanical Properties of Different Clear Aligner Materials.’ These studies demonstrate her in-depth knowledge and experience, particularly in clear aligner treatments.
Dr. Ayşegül Ural Özay is an active member of significant scientific organizations such as the Turkish Dental Association, the Turkish Orthodontic Society, the Young Turkish Orthodontic Society (founding member), and the European Orthodontic Society (EOS). Throughout her career, she has closely followed the latest advancements in her field by attending numerous national and international courses, congresses, and symposiums, including the Myobrace course, Damon Master Class, Dr. Chris Chang’s “Simplify Your Orthodontic Approaches with Technology” seminars, and especially Invisalign certification courses. Trainings such as the Clear Correct Clear Aligner certification course and the Planmycase CLINCHECK Masters course have further solidified her expertise in modern orthodontic approaches.
Building a successful career in dentistry alongside her colleague and husband, Dr. Dt. Furkan Özay, Dr. Ayşegül Ural Özay is also a mother to twin boys, Mert and Berk. With her scientific curiosity, patient-focused approach, and continuous desire to learn, she is recognized as a clinician who makes a difference in the field of orthodontics.
