Orthodontics specialist Dr Dt. Ayşegül Ural Özay is a dynamic and science-dedicated dentist known for her passion to give her patients perfect smiles. She completed her undergraduate and postgraduate education at Istanbul University Faculty of Dentistry in 2015. Then, she started her doctorate programme at the Department of Orthodontics of the same university and graduated in 2022.

Her doctoral thesis focused on a current and important topic such as “In Vitro Investigation of the Effect of Varying Intraoral Temperature Values on the Mechanical Properties of Clear Plaque Material”. She also contributed to the literature with her scientific research article titled “Investigation of Mechanical Properties of Different Clear Plaque Materials”. These studies show that she has in-depth knowledge and experience, especially in transparent plate treatments.

Dr. Ayşegül Ural Özay is an active member of important scientific organisations such as Turkish Dental Association, Turkish Orthodontic Association, Young Turkish Orthodontic Association (founding member) and European Orthodontic Society (EOS). Throughout her career, she has closely followed the latest developments in her field by attending many national and international courses, congresses and symposiums such as Myobrace course, Damon Master Class, ‘Simplify Your Orthodontic Approaches with Technology’ seminars with Dr Chris Chang and especially Invisalign certification courses. Trainings such as Clear Correct Transparent Plate certification course and Planmycase CLINCHECK Masters course have also reinforced her command of modern orthodontic approaches.

Dr. Ayşegül Ural Özay has built a successful career in dentistry and a beautiful life with her husband and colleague, Dr. Dt. Furkan Özay. Together, they are proud parents of twin boys, Mert and Berk.
