Teeth and gums may not have completed their development at this age, so the whitening procedure could cause damage.<\/li>\n<li><b class=\"\">Individuals with cavities or fillings:<\/b> For people with cavities, extreme sensitivity, or large fillings, the whitening process can cause further damage to the teeth. It is not recommended to perform whitening before cavities are treated.<\/li>\n<li><b class=\"\">Individuals with gum disease:<\/b> In people with gingivitis or other gum diseases, the whitening process can harm the gums and make the treatment process more difficult.<\/li>\n<li><b class=\"\">Those with very high tooth sensitivity:<\/b> People with high tooth sensitivity may experience pain and discomfort after the whitening procedure. Whitening should not be done until the sensitivity issue is resolved.<\/li>\n<li><b class=\"\">Individuals with oral infections:<\/b> If there is an active infection in the mouth (e.g., an abscess), the whitening process could cause the infection to spread. The infection must be treated before whitening.<\/li>\n<li><b class=\"\">Individuals whose teeth are too dark to be whitened due to genetic or natural reasons:<\/b> For some individuals, the teeth whitening process may not be effective due to their tooth structure and genetic factors. Particularly limited results may be obtained for people with a naturally very dark tooth color.<\/li>\n<li><b class=\"\">Those with dental prostheses or porcelain veneers:<\/b> The whitening process only affects natural teeth; it does not change the color of fillings, veneers, or prosthetic teeth.
